Pay Per Click Consultant: Should You Hire One?
Whether or not to hire a pay per click (PPC) consultant is a question that affiliate marketers face on a regular basis.
PPC advertising can be a great way to drive traffic to your website, but it can also be expensive and time-consuming if you don’t know what you’re doing.
So, is it worth hiring a PPC consultant?
The answer to this question depends on a number of factors, including your budget, the size of your business, and your level of expertise in PPC advertising.
If you’re just starting out, it may be wise to hire a consultant (like us!) who can help you set up and manage your campaigns.
A good consultant will be able to help you target the right keywords, create effective ads, and optimize your campaigns for maximum ROI.
What is Pay Per Click?
Pay per click (PPC) is an online marketing model in which advertisers pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked.
Essentially, it’s your way of buying visits to your site, rather than attempting to “earn” those visits organically.
PPC is a widespread and effective form of advertising, but it can be complex and challenging to manage on your own – which is where a pay per click consultant comes in.
A pay per click consultant is someone who specializes in managing and optimizing your PPC campaigns.
Although this article goes into a lot of detail, we are very familiar with the pay-per-click model, and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
In our FREE course, we offer you some great PPC tips, proven campaign strategies and ways to maximize your budget to its full potential.

Example Of A Pay Per Click Ad
What better way than to explain the mechanics of an example pay-per-click before your very eyes!
At least if you have some sort of an idea how ads work, hiring a pay per click consultant will become easier for you.
So, here is a PPC ad on Google, which appeared when we searched for ‘Removals Minnesota’.
This is for a removal company in Minnesota, and we know it is an ad because it is marked as such in the top left hand corner.
If I went ahead and clicked it, Google would then charge a set amount to the business who is running this pay per click campaign.
What we don’t know the exact keywords the ‘Midwest Moving Comp’ have used, but our guess is that they will be something along the lines of:
- Removal Companies Minnesota
- Long Distance Moving Minnesota
- Removal Quote Minnesota
- Junk Removal Minnesota
Do you get the picture?
Now, there are probably a handful of removal companies who are competing to ‘win’ these keywords.
Competitive keywords often cost a lot more to ‘bid’ on. Here are some examples of really expensive keywords. These amounts are per click – with no guarantees that the ‘clicker’ or customer will buy!
- Car Insurance – $40 per click
- Casino – $55 per click
- Bail bonds – $59 per click
- Lawyer – $45 per click
These are VERY expensive keywords to target, and unless you have millions of dollars, you are unlikely to want to target them!
On the other hand, here are some popular but cost-effective PPC keywords you could target:
- What is affiliate marketing? – $0.37
- Slack autoresponder – $0.01
- Social media marketing tricks – $0.05
- Email list building strategies – $0.10
So, PPC advertising can work really well – if you know what you are doing!
Now that you know how PPC advertising works, it’s time to ask the million dollar question – how much does it cost?
This will depend on a number of factors, such as:
- The keyword you are targeting
- The competitiveness of the keyword
- Your budget
- The type of ad you create
- The country you are targeting
Generally speaking, you can expect to pay anywhere from $0.50 – $15 per click, for targeting keywords that people actually search for.
As you can see, there is a lot to think about when it comes to setting up a PPC campaign!
But with a bit of research and some trial and error, you can soon have a profitable campaign running in no time!
Running a Pay Per Click Campaign
Before you hire a pay per click consultant, there are a few key things you need to know in order to run a successful pay per click campaign.
First, you’ll need to select the right keywords.
These are the terms that potential customers will search for when they’re looking for products or services like yours.
You’ll want to choose keywords that are relevant to your business and that have a high enough search volume that you’ll be able to generate enough traffic to your site.
Once you’ve selected your keywords, you’ll need to create ads around them.
These ads should be well-written and relevant to the keywords you’re targeting.
They should also include a call to action, telling potential customers what you want them to do once they click on your ad.
Here is an example of a well optimized ad –with clear messaging, great title, CTA and laser targeted links from Nike:
Finally, you’ll need to set up a landing page for your ad on your website.
This is the page that potential customers will end up on when they click on your ad.
Your landing page should be well-designed and relevant to the keywords you’re targeting.
It should also include a call to action, telling visitors what you want them to do when they get there.
If you follow these steps, you’ll be able to run a successful pay per click campaign that will help you generate more traffic and leads for your business!
7 Awesome PPC Strategies
Pay per click can often seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be!
We have listed some excellent PPC strategies for those who know a little bit about per per click, or just want some better advice.
Define your goals
Before starting a ppc campaign, you need to have a clear understanding of what your goals are.
What are you trying to achieve with your campaign?
Do you want to increase brand awareness, generate leads, or drive sales?
Once you know your goals, you can create campaigns that are designed to achieve them.
Research your keywords
One of the most important aspects of a successful ppc campaign is choosing the right keywords.
You need to select keywords that are relevant to your business and that potential customers are likely to use when searching for products or services that you offer.
You can use keyword research tools like Google AdWords Keyword Planner to help you find the right keywords.
Honestly, keyword research is a HUGE part of making a success of your business, and hiring a pay per click consultant will drive your business forward.
Create targeted ad groups
Once you have your keywords, you need to create targeted ad groups.
An ad group is a collection of ads that share the same keywords.
Creating targeted ad groups allows you to create ads that are relevant to the keywords that they target.
This is important because it helps to improve your quality score, which can lower your costs per click and increase your ad ranking (this is a great tip!)
Write compelling ads
Your ads need to be well-written and relevant to the keywords that they target.
They should also include a call to action so that potential customers know what to do when they see your ad.
Any pay per click consultant worth their salt will ALWAYS write very compelling ads, providing you choose a good one!
Target your landing pages
Your landing pages need to be relevant to the keywords that you are targeting and the ads that you are running.
They should also be designed to meet your goals.
For example, if you’re trying to generate leads, your landing page should include a form where visitors can enter their contact information.
Monitor your campaigns
Once your campaigns are up and running, you need to monitor them closely to see how they are performing.
You can use tools like Google Analytics to track your campaign’s progress and make changes as needed.
Test, test, test!
Finally, don’t forget to test your campaigns regularly.
Try different ad copy, landing pages, and keywords to see what works best for your business.
PPC is a great way to drive traffic to your website and generate leads or sales.
By following these tips, you can create successful campaigns that will help you achieve your goals.
